Overview

Youth Voices for Change is a comprehensive, three-component initiative designed to bring the values, perspectives, and creative ideas of young people into the policy-making sphere. This program empowers youth to enhance their digital civic engagement and leadership capacities, providing a real platform to transform innovative ideas into tangible social actions.

What we set out to do

• To build an effective foundation for youth-led advocacy, the initiative structures its long-term strategy around three core execution pillars:
• “ENGAGE & LEARN” Interactive Training: Blending youth participation theories with actionable digital skills to foster creative inclusion in public decision-making processes.
• “HACK IN FUTURE” – 36-Hour Hackathon: Creating an intensive collaborative environment for trained youth to develop innovative digital social campaign roadmaps.
• “TRENDHACK” – Media Campaign: Translating winning hackathon ideas into high-impact public events in collaboration with peer influencers and youth leaders.

What we did

• Through this active initiative, our team executes dynamic, youth-centered training and facilitation modules across several domains:
• Executing Interactive Frameworks: Delivering participant-driven lectures, real-world case analysis, role-playing simulations, and team-building exercises to instill practical skills.
• Combatting Information Disorder: Training young individuals in digital media literacy, fact-checking methodologies, and critical thinking to counter mis- and disinformation.
• Digital Advocacy Strategy: Instructing participants on content curation across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, alongside evaluating the future, opportunities, and risks of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Outcomes

• Policy Advocacy: Youth effectively navigate legal frameworks and actively participate in public decision-making processes.
• Human Rights & Justice: Cultivating a baseline understanding of free expression and human rights defenders' collaborative networks.
• Ethical Leadership: Aligning youth under shared anti-corruption values while solidifying ethical models and team management.
• Digital Campaigning: Equipping advocates to design impactful online polls and data-informed digital social campaigns.
